Welcome to THE HERK Golf Classic presented by Quantum Lifecycle Partners. Our 7th Annual event is set against the stunning backdrop of TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, and this event promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Join us on Friday, July 11th,2025 for a day filled with swings, smiles, good food and great times as we tee off for a cause that truly matters. By participating, you're not just indulging your love for the game; you're making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by Cancer as we raise funds for the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

About the Event
The inaugural HERK Golf Classic was held in the fall of 2017, to raise funds for the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, in memory of Gerry “Herk” Cooper.
Herk was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma in February, 2015 and was treated at the Odette Cancer Centre. After many months of chemotherapy, Herk was declared cancer-free early in the summer of 2016, but in September he became ill again and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). The doctors, nurses, and staff in Odette’s Complex Malignant Haematology program were instrumental in keeping Herk going for as long as they could through innovative treatments.
While the outlook was grim, Herk maintained a characteristically positive outlook and carried-on as best he could, spending as much time as possible outdoors, surrounded by family and friends new and old, until he passed away on February 27, 2017.
While Herk was not a golfer himself, THE HERK Golf Classic is about more than golf. One of his many mantras in life was to “do something productive every day, ideally outside.” In that spirit, we will come together on July 11th, and do something productive for the Odette Cancer Centre, on the golf course, surrounded by friends new and old.

In its first 6 years, THE HERK has generated net proceeds of over $175,000, with funds being directed to the Complex Malignant Hematology program at Odette Cancer Centre.
